Beginner Songwriting Lessons
If you know that you want to be a songwriter, but you aren’t sure where to start, then these classes are designed for you!
In these classes you will learn the foundations of what it means to write a song, and you will do this by writing your own original music. Guided by one of our tutors, you will explore different techniques for crafting melodies and lyrics, begin to understand composition and learn the basics of music theory.
Songwriting is one of the most exciting avenues of being a musician, and at BMA we believe it is one of the most ensuring ways to master your instrument.
Furthering Songwriting Sessions
Furthering Songwriting Sessions
These classes are designed for musicians who are already writing songs, but want to know how they can build their music as a complete composition.
In these sessions you will explore how various instruments are used and the purpose they each serve amongst a full musical composition. You will be able to use this learning in class by working with one of our tutors to develop your own songs, or writing original material together. You will learn to confidently craft melodies and lyrics and you will apply the principles of music theory to your creations.
You will have the opportunity to play much of the instrumentation yourself (if you would like to) and also get first hand experience with music production softwares like Logic and Pro Tools.

4 sessions (6hrs): £199
We recommend at least 4 songwriting sessions to get the most of what the classes offer, which is why we offer 4 sessions at a super discounted price!
Just like our guitar and singing classes, you can chose to do the sessions as often as you like and there is no need for weekly commitment.
NOTE: Songwriting sessions can only take place from our home location in Finsbury Park, N7 7JU
